　　在紐約進行屋頂花園設計時，如何處理開放性與私密性的平衡關系是一個非常棘手的問題，但該項目的景觀設計師卻采用了動態(tài)的處理手法：垂直方向的景觀元素功能良好--豐富的細節(jié)處理、簡潔的材質(zhì)，使這里有很多美麗的空間可以供人停留和享受。

　　It is very tricky to balance the senses of openness and enclosure when designing rooftop gardens in New York City, but this landscape architect has even added a fresh take on movement. The vertical elements work well, it's beautifully detailed, the materials are simple, and there are lots of nice places to sit and enjoy.

　　一個城市的屋頂景色可以作為這個城市的公開展示景觀。這個展開的平臺越過了城市的工業(yè)基礎景觀，開始和整個城市的園林生活空間相一致。整個屋頂都經(jīng)過鋪裝，以組織構建空間。同時經(jīng)過改裝構建的還有特殊立面的墻體，與屋頂景觀結合傳遞了一種城市新型的自然的理念--文化和藝術的相互結合闡釋。

　　An urban roofscape that celebrates the spectacle of the city, the Unfolding Terrace negotiates the scale of the city's industrial landscape of infrastructure with the atmosphere of the garden living space. The decked surface folds across the roof, organizing program by creating constructed volumes of space. With a site specific commissioned poetry wall, the roofscape points to a new idea of nature in the city - mediated by culture and artistic interpretation.
